There's really not that much of a scoop with Milburn as many know about it, but they don't want to address it and are scared of the publicity.
I was told by a good friend who is/was a Labour MP that Milburns wife had him by the balls and made him dance to her tune because he was a serious wife beater and abuser, and she had proof and would make it public unless he did as she demanded. The first was his resignation as a Minister and she made him get help. He still does as he is told.
There are many other scoops ignored by the likes of Dale who see the good reputation of the Westminster clique, regardless of party, as something to preserve.
An old scoop is that of Prescot, who had a 25 year affair with a woman called Sue Elphick from Handbridge in Chester. His wife knew about it all those years but stayed on for the ride. This was all during his whiter than white stage. Sue Elphick, BTW, was involved in politics and her husband was too.
